The veneer

Veneer was used the firt time 4000 years ago. Rare veneers and of great value were, at this time, very expensive and difficult to hold. We tried to limit his use for what was absolutely necessary, that is to say the visible parts.

Nowadays, the veneer is use, on the one hand, for the manufacture of laminated panels and, on the other hand, for the completion of surface.

The Tavapan company use only veneer of high quality for visible surfaces, and this, for all available veneers.

The standard thickness of a veneer sheet is 0,6mm before sandpapering. On request, we can also offer thicker sheets, for example, 0,9mm before sandpapering.

We occuply gladly of your orders of plated panels. You can deliver the veneer or take part in the choice of the veneer at the time of the purchase.

All the plated products of Tavapan Wooddesign can be made with any ordinary veneer. In order to reach a uniform image in the colour and the strucutre, the panels will be produce by commission. Veneer comes form trees; it is thus a natural product. A clear regulation of the colour and the strucutre are not possible. Moreover, the structure of the veneer will be influenced by  its cut and assembling used. The sorting and the choice of veneer are made at the time of each order. The customer has the possibility to take part to the selection of the veneer.
